Windows 8.1 is available as a free Preview for those who wants to try out the new version without waiting for autumn to come. although the simplest way to update your computer is through Windows Store, there is the option to do a clean install using the .iso file. Thanks to this, it’s possible to try Windows 8.1 on a Mac using Boot Camp 5. The following tutorial has been made with an iMac 27″ mid 2011. Macs that supports Windows 8 are the following ones; if yours is not listed, it means is not compatible.

Microsoft announces Windows 8.1 awaited for end of the year; releases public preview for free.

At San Francisco’s Moscone Center (where Apple always keeps keynotes), Microsoft steps up on the stage to present the first major update for Windows, reaching version 8.1 “Blue”. More focused on “touch”, tries to catch up once more after a discrete success. First and foremost comes back the Start, a lack that left users upset after years in the bottom left of the screen, no more the need of pulling down the desktop to close it. PlayStation 4 strikes on Xbox One at E3


At Los Angeles’ E3 Sony finally unveiled the PlayStation 4 answering the number of question marks during the first show-off. After a few hours later than Xbox One presentation, Sony strikes on Microsoft on every part.

Jack Tretton – chief of Sony Computer Entertainment America – started with the PS Vita which nevertheless the unlucky success had is still a pillar for Sony. Then it comes the PlayStation 4; black, two sided box with oblique borders completely different from its predecessor. What’s more groundbreaking are performances and prices that gives a serious run for the money for Xbox One; more advanced CPU and GPU, along with 500GB of HDD replaceable by the user. Xbox One and PlayStation 4 available for pre-orders from Amazon at 599$

E3 still has to begin, and worldwide fans of Xbox One and PlayStation 4 are already in pole position for buying the consoles, still distant months from now. Amazon started a while ago to accept preorders for both, setting down an introductory price; 599$. Counting that old generations were very close, probably it will go down when Xbox and PS4 will be on the market.

Here Amazon strikes, by using the lowest Pre-Order Price Guarantee; this means that if the official price once announced will be different until the console release you’ll be charged of the lowest price tag reached in the previous months, to be sure to pay the least possible on each one.
