The iPhone 5 is almost here, the 12th is just around the corner. What we should expect to have from the forthcoming new iPhone 5, considering the number of rumors? Let’s try to find out.
A faster processor
First, is a faster processor, because the 4S is running a dual-core A5. We might expect to have the same one on the new iPad or, more probably, a brand-new quad-core A6.
4″ Retina Display
Since the first iPhone, the screen wa 3,5″ wide. As the recent rumors “rumored” the iPhone 5 may be equipped with a wider display. If so, an upgraded version of the processor to the A5X or the right-now-not-real A6 is legit.
4G LTE Wireless
Obviously, the iPhone 5 will be equipped with the support for the blazing fast 4G LTE technology, which allows you to browse the web at a tremedously high speed. Let’s just hope that it will support not only the US frequencies, unlike the third generation iPad.
12 megapixel camera
The iPhone 4S features an 8MP camera and records in Full HD 1080p. Right now most of the smartphones have a 12 megapixel camera, so we can expect an upgrade for photos quality. Nothing to say about the 1080p videocamera.
The iPhone 4’s design is great, but after two generations the iPhone 5 may have a totally renewed design, more likely because of the new 4″ display which (if introduced) will require slighly bigger dimensions.
Another feature that we may find, is the NFC technology, which allows you to pay without the need of your credit card, for example at the Starbucks for a coffee. Just think about the new Passbook integrated app, which stores all the digital coupons and tickets into the iPhone.
Shipped with iOS 6
This is sure. iOS 6 will be released to the public in no more than a month probably. So the iPhone 5 will be shipped with iOS 6 on it and ready to be used. Remeber that iOS 6 will be available for iPad (iPad 2 and the New iPad), iPhone 4, 4S and iPod Touch (4th gen.).
Do you expect something more?
